Finland is the World Champion in ice hockey!

Yesterday the Finnish national ice hockey team, also known as The Lions, crushed Sweden 6-1 in the IIHF World Championship final in Slovakia! It’s already 16 years since the last time Finland won the title, so it was about time… The whole nation went bananas after the match, and people were dancing on the streets trough the night. The party continues today as the victorious team returns to Finland!

Could this be an omen for the Finnish footbag team? Could Tuomas Kärki repeat his singles net victory this year? Or could someone else step up and conquer the podium in front of the home crowd? We sure hope so, because we want to party on the Market Square in Helsinki like the Lion crew in did 1995!

Lions, we salute you! See you on the Market Square tonight!
