Video Contest is here again

Back in 2005, when Helsinki hosted the World Foot­bag Cham­pi­onships for the first time, we came up with an idea for a side­line event: We would ask all the inno­v­a­tive film mak­ers in the foot­bag com­mu­nity to cre­ate ground break­ing foot­bag videos for the first ever Video Con­test. We got a dozen or so awe­some videos, and the Video Con­test was an instant hit. Since 2005 VC has been held three times, and three times a Finn has won it. Last vic­to­ri­ous foot­bag film maker was Jere Vainikka with “Rein­deer games”. Check it out:

This year we’re going to have the video con­test in an old movie the­atre called Andorra in down­town Helsinki. We wel­come every­body to take part, so get your cam­eras rollin’ or browse your archives for some good foot­bag footage for your Video Con­test entry. No spe­cific rules, just make a sweet foot­bag video and take part in the Video Con­test. And yes, there will be prizes for the best videos!

Dead­line for sub­mis­sions is July 24^th. All sub­mis­sions will be checked before screen­ing and in case of too many videos sub­mit­ted, only a selec­tion will be shown in the screen­ing. Con­tact Jere Vainikka (jere@nobrainer.fi) for instruc­tions sub­mit­ting your video.

Videos will be judged dur­ing the screen­ing and top three will be announced in the after party. Top three receive great prizes!

• HD or SD resolution
• Only dig­i­tal files accepted
