Video Contest is here again

Back in 2005, when Helsinki hosted the World Footbag Championships for the first time, we came up with an idea for a sideline event: We would ask all the innovative film makers in the footbag community to create ground breaking footbag videos for the first ever Video Contest. We got a dozen or so awesome videos, and the Video Contest was an instant hit. Since 2005 VC has been held three times, and three times a Finn has won it. Last victorious footbag film maker was Jere Vainikka with “Reindeer games”. Check it out:

This year we’re going to have the video contest in an old movie theatre called Andorra in downtown Helsinki. We welcome everybody to take part, so get your cameras rollin’ or browse your archives for some good footbag footage for your Video Contest entry. No specific rules, just make a sweet footbag video and take part in the Video Contest. And yes, there will be prizes for the best videos!

Deadline for submissions is July 24th. All submissions will be checked before screening and in case of too many videos submitted, only a selection will be shown in the screening. Contact Jere Vainikka (jere@nobrainer.fi) for instructions submitting your video.

Videos will be judged during the screening and top three will be announced in the after party. Top three receive great prizes!

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Max length 5 minutes
• HD or SD resolution
• Only digital files accepted
