Several local and out of state shredders commenced in Pocatello for
the 2000 Southeast Idaho Footbag Championships. I would like to give a special
thanks to Paul Mestas, Daryl Genz, Sunny Freeman, and Jon Schneider who made
the trip from Colorado; additionally, I want to thank Jim Pomey, Cameron Dowie,
and Lukas Anderson for making the trip from Utah.
The tournament was a great success. We ended up having 22 competitors from

Aside from the competition aspect of the tournament, the tournament in and
of itself was just a lot of FUN. Footbag in Idaho got a little piece of
recognition in the eye of the general public, and a lot of area shredders were
totally inspired. All apologies for any mis-spellings.

The Idaho State University Footbag Club and Old Town Pocatello proudly present the 2000 Southeast Idaho Footbag Championships. This event is going on in conjunction with the "Hot Time in Old Town" Pocatello Street Festival. A large, flat grass area next to the site is available for any net players who are coming into town and are willing to bring a net. (Note: there will be no official net competition) Other festivities include food and beer vendors, a small carnival, and many at least four bands. Sponsors currently include Boulder Blades Productions, Paul Mestas, and several local merchants. Tournament T-shirts and 4-panel Paul Mestas footbags will be given to the first 25 competitors in exhange for their $9.00 entry fee.
Event Details:
The competition will be taking place in the large parking log behind the First
National Bar. We have our own set up for music so if you have a particular
song you want to use for a routine, bring it. I don't have much floor space
left at my place, but if you are traveling from out of town let me know and I
will try and set something up. Give me a call or email with any questions.
