REPORT ON THE BEDFORD INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

On Sunday June 8 1997, the North Fremantle (Australia) Footbag Club's
Indoor Championships were held once again.  Due to this years increased
turn-out, smaller club-rooms, and insufficient space to accommodate a
Footbag Net set, after some initial enthusiastic kicking proceedings moved
to the Grand Promenade Reserve.  Here participants bravely endured the wet,
windy, and generally cold conditions and put on a fine display of
footbagging to onlookers.

Seven games of Footbag Net incorporating a random pairing of players
indicated the following individual standings:
1st	Grant Corbett
2nd	John Burrage
3rd	Trevor Mazzucchelli
4th	John Benevoli
5th	Peter Downs

Results from the five minute timed consecutives were as follows:
1st	John Burrage
2nd	Trevor Mazzucchelli
3rd	Grant Cobett

The organisers would like to extend their thanks to participants and, in
particular, Grant Corbett for travelling from Queensland for the meet and
assisting with the loan of equipment and technical know-how.

Post-meet drinks with well-wishes at the Queens Hotel were thoroughly
deserved and enjoyed.
