10th ANNIVERSARY of BEMBEL CUP - A JAM TO REMEMBER

Dear beloved Footbag community! 

We kindly invite you on August 11-12 to help us celebrate the 10th 
anniversary of our Frankfurt tournament BEMBEL CUP!

While the Bembel Cup was founded by FrankfurtFootbag as a doubles net 
tournament and featured many national and international guests over the 
past decade, we always wanted to use this not as a tournament only, but as 
a get together with friends. Therefore, this year will be even more like a 
jam, with a doubles tournament indeed, but mainly with lots of time to 
play pickups and shred as much as you can. 


SCHEDULE and LOCATION
Year after year we seeked for different times of the year to be able to 
play outside at a public swimming pool. Those of you, who attended one or 
many of the last events, will know that was somewhat tricky with the 
weather conditions. Enjoying the heat wave in Frankfurt as well, we are 
looking forward for best summer conditions this year, and only changed to 
another local swimming pool to spice it up a little. 

We plan on playing outside on all days, setting up at Frankfurt Riedbad 
(not the swimming pool like other years!). There, we will be part of a big 
triathlon fun event for families, and are looking forward for some 
spectators. We will be setting up a playing area for beginners with mini 
nets and two square and probably offer some workshop time, as we believe 
this to be crucial to every footbag gathering since the early beginnings. 
Play with others as much as possible :-)

FOOD
As we are hooking up this footbag jam with this other Frankfurt event for 
families, there will be loads of food and beverages on site for you to 
serve yourself. In the evenings, we will also gather at public places 
where you can find anything you long for. Enjoy!

PARTY
On Friday night, we will gather somewhere in the city center to have some 
welcome drinks with all of you. Location tba.  
On Saturday, there are many options from live concerts and open air 
festivals near the river Main and a very traditional local food festival, 
where you will receive as many BEMBEL as you can drink up. Cheers! 


PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE INTENDING TO JOIN, so that we can arrange 
sleeping spots for you. 
Especially those net players amongst you, please write to us who you are 
going to team up with. There will be NO OFFICIAL REGISTRATION.
