Event Details:
LOCATION:
We will be at VAN CORTLANDT PARK in the northern Bronx, near Yonkers. This
large NYC park has several playing fields and is across the street from
Manhattan College. Both net and freestyle will be played at the south end of
the main park, near the corner of Broadway and Van Cortland Park South
(**Note that this is a different location from last year). The net site will
be the softball field next to the track. The freestyle site will be the
adjacent southwest playground annex.
The event location is easily accessible from I-95 (the George Washington
Bridge), I-87, and Route 9A. There’s a NY subway station right next to the
park (the last stop on the “1” line- 242nd St). The New York Botanical
Garden and the Bronx Zoo are also only a few minutes’ drive away.
Street parking is available along Broadway and the nearby side streets. Most
parking is free but watch out for parking meters with time limits on parking
on Broadway. It’s best to arrive early to find parking as the park is
usually busy and parking spaces can fill up quickly.
LODGING:
Ted Fritsch has “basic” accommodations at his house (up to 12 people) at 22
Pier St, Yonkers- less than 15 minutes from the site (preference given to
those on tight budgets). There are a few hotel options available within a 15
minute drive from the park. Name brand hotels (not the cheapest but likely
the safest bets) include Hampton Inn-Dobbs Ferry and Ramada Inn-Yonkers.
Bruce Dole may also have some crash space remaining. For lodging options,
contact Ted.
REGISTRATION & FEES:
**Friday night registration location TBD soon (please check back).
Late registration will take place on Saturday morning at the event site.

Intermediate Competitors- $25
All competitors will receive a player’s pack with a t-shirt. Non-
