11th Annual IFPA European Footbag Championships
Strzelin 2009



The championships of the Old Continent will be held from 26th to 28th June
2009 in Strzelin (Poland). Players from more then 15 countries will compete
against each other, in a friendly atmosphere, in all disciplines: footbag
freestyle, footbag golf and footbag net.





***** The city *****

Strzelin is a city locatated in the south-western part of Poland, 40 km south
from Wrocław. It�s situated in a beautiful region known for touristic values.
Strzelin is known for it�s stone quarry, which is the deepest in the country
(123 meters), and also for the DST Footbag Club, founded by the Doubles
Brothers Team � Michał and Tomasz Ostrowski.

***** The venue *****


Footbag Freestyle:
Eliminations and finals of all freestyle events will be held on a sports gym
of Gymnasium nr 2 in Strzelin.
The gym (22m. X 42m.), located in the city center, is a modern building with 
a
sound system, cantine and locker rooms with showers. It can hold up to 300
spectators. The cantine, with kitchen facility will be availiable to the
players during the tournament.
The organizers are providing free food (breakfast, dinner, fruit, water) for
all registered players.

Footbag Net, Footbag Golf:
Footbag Net events will be held on a soccer field of the local team, Footbag
Golf will be held in the area of the city park. All these areas are in a 
close
vicnity of the freestyle gym.

� Hotel Maria in Strzelin

The Hotel is located in the suburbs of Strzelin - small town which is settled
at the legendary Hills of Strzelin. Hotel Maria is a monumental building with
a lot of terraces, porches and wonderful views of the surroundings and not
distant Sudet's range from scenic tower.

� Boarding-school in Ludów Polski

Ludów Polski is located 5 km from Strzelin. The boarding school will be used
for players accomodation. During the tournament the organizers will provide a
bus, that will transport players between the school and event site at certain
hours. Players will also have the possibility to use public buses, that go
between Strzelin and Ludów Polski almost every hour. The registration for the
accomodation will happen during player�s registration, the day before the
tournament starts.

Accomodation price in the boarding school, per person, per night: 30 zł.

Internet registration, on www.footbag.org will be open in May 2009.
Registration (paid in PLN or EUR) covers the participation in the tournament
and competing in declared events, free food, a free T-shirt and a player�s 
pack.
