What are you doing for Independance Day this year? Don't know?? Well......

COME TO VEGAS!!

This year on the 3 day Independance Day Weekend, we are going to have a Jam to remember. There have been a few small shoddy events held here in the past, but now, Vegas has representation, and with a little help from Eric Windsor, we are gonna throw a big bash. If you can't mae it to World's, or if you've got a lot of shred spirit and want to do BOTH, come to Vegas this 4th of July and kick til you drop.
Event Details:
The host hotel for the event will be the Circus-Circus Hotel and Casino.
Holding it here gives 2 bonuses: It's on the strip, one of the big (yet old)
hotels that you see in the movies, classic Las Vegas. Advantage number 2 is
not only do the adults get the Vegas party atmosphere, but there is a full
floor full of Carnival games and arcade, free circus acts every hour, and the
Adventuredome (formerly Grand Slam Canyon) theme park on site. Therefore: Fun
for the whole footbag family.

Now, the long awaited announcement of the kick site. We will be kicking out at UNLV, outside unfortunately, but in the prettiest atmosphere we can provide. We will be meeting at the Alumni Aphitheatre (directions below) officially at 1:00pm each day (first day to account for arrival time, others to account for late night Vegas partying) although you can show up earlier and kick if you bring a circle or plan to meet one early. We will go to 7:00pm and after this, people can break off to go see the nightlife and shows and stuff, or arrange their own circles closer to the hotel. We will stay later the first night however, and after 9:00pm, bust out the Firebag as our own small fireworks celebration. To get to the spot from the hotel, its a 6 minute drive 3 and a half miles. For a car: Head South on LAS VEGAS BLVD/THE STRIP. 0.06 miles Turn LEFT onto RIVIERA BLVD. 0.42 miles Turn RIGHT onto PARADISE RD. 1.51 miles Turn LEFT onto E FLAMINGO RD/ NV-592 E. 0.91 miles Turn RIGHT onto S MARYLAND PKWY. 0.46 miles (to HARMON) For people without cars, there is a 3/4 mile walk and 2 buses that will get you there. Walk South on the Strip to Convention Center Drive (ends at the Stardust), make a left. Walk until you see a bus stop on the right side of the street and get on. It will take you down Desert Inn, and get off at Maryland Parkway. Take the Maryland Bus South to Harmon, and you're there. Total Cost = $1.25 for adults .$60 for "students" (youth) Once at Maryland and Harmon, walk into the Campus and go left and you will see the outdoor Amphitheatre. Or, drive in to your left, park in front of the Moyer Student Union and walk into the campus and you will see it down on your right. There is a 7-11, 4 fast food chains (Del Taco and Inn and Out are Cheap too), a Starbucks, and Eistien Bagels all within a block of the parking lot, so you should be set for the day.
