Portland is a hot bed of footbag and in June all the coals light up. The U.S.
Open is in its 11th year, sanctioned by the Rose Festival Association (and WFA
of course), it is highly publicized and always covered by local television
stations. Tournament Director Kendall KIC rolls out the red carpet for out of
towners so put Portland on you list of places to go.

Directions to Sellwood Riverfront Park, under the east end of the Sellwood
Bridge at S.E. Spokane and the Willamette River
HEADING SOUTH ON I-5 FROM VANCOUVER WA OR BC:
Just before I-5 goes over the Willamette River take the exit for Milwaukie/Hwy
99E as you take the exit off I-5, stay in the left lane (sign says OMSI)
because the right lane goes over the river and you need to stay on the east
side of the river. The exit curves to the left over the freeway, take the
first right possible onto Hwy 99E which is one way heading south (also known
as Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.). Go past two stop lights then a sizealbe
stretch of highway, go past one more stop light at Holgate then make a right
at the fourth stop light at S.E. 17th Street. There is a sign before 17th that
says Sellwoood/S.E. 17th Street next right.
Follow S.E. 17th Street all the way to S.E. Tacoma Street. Make a right onto
Tacoma Street which the second traffic light you will come to on S.E. 17th.
Follow Tacoma west towards the Willlamette River make a right onto S.E 7th and
then the first Left onto Spokane, go past the church and turn right just past
some railroad tracks, as you turn right the entrance to the park is
immediately on the left.
FROM THE AIRPORT:
Heading South on I-205 just take the exit for I-84 West then when it turns
into I-5, stay to the left - but not the far left - of the two lanes that veer
left onto I-5 South. Get in the right hand lane that says OMSI and follow the
directions above.
DIRECTIONS FROM I-5 HEADING NORTH INTO PORTLAND FROM EUGENE:
Take the Terwilligar Exit at the end of the exit ramp go right at the stop
light onto Terwilligar. at the second stop light which is at the top of a hill
(Burlingame Grocery is on the Right) make a left onto Taylors Ferry Road.
Follow Taylors Ferry down to the bottom of the hill and turn Right onto
Macadam Avenue. Get in the left lane on Macadam and make the first left which
will put you on Sellwood Bridge and take you over the Willamette River.
Sellwood Bridge turns into Tacoma Street take the first left you can on the
east end of the bridge and follow the directions above.
Good luck.
