The Newcastle Buce Club is a 5 year old club that has aimed to gather footbag players and hackey sackers from around the Hunter Region for social events and competitions. The members of the club are the creators of the sport Buce, an engaging, fast-paced team sport which uses a footbag/hackey sack. The sport has been played since 2007 and has had several competitive leagues in both winter and summer since then.
