SUBMITTING INFORMATION TO US

Footbag WorldWide is here for the players. We want to help integrate all of the information regarding footbag from clubs, players, companies, and spectators around the world so that they are shared and available to anyone who wants them.

To that end, we accept submissions of various types of electronic information, including text, graphics (GIF, JPEG, etc.), sounds, movies (JPEG, QuickTime(R), etc.), and the like.

Club Listings...

If you have a club and would like to publish your club information on this service, you just have to fill out our on-line Club Registration form.

Tournament Results, Announcements, Reviews, etc...

If you have tournament results or other plain-text information, you should e-mail it directly to info@footbag.org so we can add it to the service.

Files, Photos, Graphics, Binary Data, Collections, etc...

If you have binary data, such as graphics files, or larger collections of information that don't work as well in e-mail, please use our ftp site and upload them so that we can incorporate them into our system.

The following are step-by-step directions for submitting your files to us using ftp:

1. Connect to ftp.footbag.org.

2. Log in as user "anonymous", and type your e-mail address when it asks for your password.

3. Type:
   

        cd pub/incoming
   

   followed by

        binary
   

4. Then, for each file you'd like to up-load, type:
   

        put file.ext
   

   (where file is the name of the file, and ext is the file name's extension (such as ".gif", or ".jpg", which generally indicates the type of the file).

5. Disconnect from the ftp server by typing:
   

        quit
   

If the file(s) upload successfully, send e-mail to info@footbag.org to let us know they're there -- be sure to tell us the names of all the files you put out there, their types, and any other information you think we need. For photographs, please try to include the photographer's name, the event the picture was taken (if any), and the names of any of the key individuals pictured.

Be sure to notify us of any problems you have transferring files or connecting to ftp.footbag.org.

N.B.: You will not be able to see any of the files on our ftp server in the incoming directory. They will not be visible or incorporated into the Footbag WorldWide service until you send us e-mail and we have had time to examine them. We reserve the right to edit, modify, and otherwise discard any and all information and files you place on the FTP server.
