Welcome to the 19th Edition!

Hi, welcome and Bienvenue to Montréal, Canada, site of the 19th Annual World Footbag Championships.

As in 1996, when we had the pleasure to host the 17th Edition, all seven days of competition will be held on St Helen's Island, a mere 400-metre Backstroke from all the excitment of downtown Montréal. The island is home to La Ronde, the city's largest amusement park, which draws 14,000 thrill-seekers a day.

Competition this year promises to be the best ever, as net and freestyle kickers continue to push the limits of this great sport.

Watch this space for any last-minute updates or other information, or check What's New on Footbag WorldWide.

Site Overview

Finals Net Court at La Ronde

La Ronde has an average of 14,000 people going through the gates everyday during the season. This court is situated right next to the main entrance of the amusement parc, giving it maximum exposure. The Finals are scheduled on the same day as the International Fireworks competition's final show. It is one of the busiest days in the summer, and has drawn up to 35,000 people in the past.

Freestyle at Jardin des Étoiles

Freestyle semi-finals and finals will be held at the Jardin des Étoiles which holds 800 places. A large screen behind the stage may be used to broadcast media.
