I started to make a denim bag out of an old pair of jeans the other day. I was trying to make a 62 panel... I got to 21 and... well... that's where I am now... Dunno if I'll actually finish it... and if I do, I dunno if I would actually use it... I started a 12 and I'll probably finish it up tomorrow. And I wanna fill it with sand... Does this sound crazy to anyone...? I'll post some pics when I'm done.

i started out using jeans to make bags. the thinner the better (to a point)
it's no doubt durrable but micro suede or ultrasuede work much better
if you have the means i h ighly suggets you pick some up

Thanks for your post. I'll try to get some microsuede if I can Smile .

Here is the finished 12 panel, which actually stalls pretty well, but control is a bit of a problem... the other is supposed to be the 62 panel if I ever finish it... Confused .

looks nice.
good luck with the 62 pannel i dont' even feel up to trying to make one.
i know i can (i've done a 54 pannel) bit it's just not worth it to me. it takes to much time and i'm perfectly satisfied with 8 and 14 pannels

Scott:

I'll look for the facile when I can. Thanks for the advice.

Brian:

I think your right about just sticking with the bags with less panels... Less work and they play just fine. As for the 62 panel... I think I'm just gonna give up on it Razz .

Next I'm gonna try for a 32. I want one with a soccerball pattern Wink .

And here's the 32 panel.

Frankly, it's a terrible bag... Took way too much time to be worth it. I think I'll just stick with 12 panels... for denim anyway...
