Anyone interested and free on these dates to come to a jam along the lines of my now withdrawn champs proposal here?
This is not a public holiday in Victoria or Tasmania, I believe, but Monday 5th is Labour day in NSW. Due to the extreme scarcity of public holidays in the latter half of the year in Victoria, and that most Victorian players are uni students who may well have the time off anyway, I thought this would work best.
Any other suggestions for dates also accepted... either way I will need to take time off work and that should be fine with this much notice, especially if it is *not* in school holidays. Actually I think I put in for a week off in November so that would suit me too, obviously.

Travel:
Obviously Bendigo isn’t as convenient as capital cities for travel, but with the freeway now complete it’s only an hour and a half drive north of Melbourne. I have considered driving down to the airport myself, enlisting my brother etc to do a trip and bribing some footbaggers from Melbourne to bring people up as options that avoid having to bus into Melbourne and then train up to Bendigo. There is also a bus that runs twice daily between the airport and Bendigo, however this is $65 for a return trip, $38 one way.
Possible Activities:
Underground tour at the Central Deborah Gold Mine. They have a Mine Experience Tour – 20 stories underground, 75mins $24, or an Underground Adventure Tour – 85m underground, 2 ½ hours $68.
My favourite – Cidery, Winery and Brewery tour. There is an apple cidery in Harcout, approx 30mins drive from Bendigo, which has all sorts of apple and pear ciders, liquers, juice, vinegar, and blends. I never liked cider till I tried theirs, it’s good stuff. All fruit grown on site and no additives. Following on from that, there are many wineries around this area although I haven’t visited any myself, I would investigate this. After that we would visit Holgate’s Brewery in Woodend, about an hour drive from Bendigo. These guys make good beer! And some weird varients too, and they’ll all probably taste great anyway after all the wine and cider Wink Holgate Brewery website: http://www.holgatebrewhouse.com/
Options for travel are having some people drive (Possibly enlist my brother or a friend), hiring a minibus, or driving down in my car, plus my brothers and anyone else’s I can steal (Very Happy) and catching the train back to Bendigo. We could also stay in Woodend the night, but this doesn’t really seem very optimal!

OK boys (and girl), need to see if this is going ahead so I can put in for time off work.
Can I clarify who would be able/likely to attend if I hosted a jam on these dates? I'm super keen to organise something and get it under my belt, plus it would be hella fun.

I can come as long as I can get there.
Don't know what days I can come though because
I have decided to return to Un this semester.
Looking at the dates actually, I can come up on the friday 2nd
probably and then would have to return the Sunday sometime.
