Hey guys, just started to learn the mirage, and The only problem I have is the Stall after the Dex. When I lift my leg for the dex, do i lift my other at the same time to prepare for the stall?

Thanks

Think of your legs like pistons in a motor. One goes up as the other comes down - they pull on each other for counterbalance.

For mirage, you set the bag with (for example) your left foot, and then bring the left leg down as you bring the right up to make the dex. When the dexing motion is peaking and you start to bring the right leg back down, this is when you lift the left leg again.

Short answer: Yes.

Once you set the bag you should be hopping off both feet. One leg will do the dex its foot will land on the ground. The other leg will stay in the air and its foot will catch the bag.

Good luck! Any more questions feel free to do a search on the topic or ask them here if you can't find an answer.

What helped me to learn mirage was at first picking the bag in my hand, place in the dexing position for the mirage; which means let's say right set right catch mirage, so left dexing, left leg raised in position and a little bent on right leg to be ready to hop off it; after that you take the ball in your left hand, get ready and drop it just a little beside your left leg. AS SOON, I really mean AS SOON as you drop the bag ( you should drop it already at the perfect height for dexing ) hop off your right foot and go for the mirage. You can help by jumping beside you to dex and catch, take note that it's not the right motion because you shouldn't be moving from side to side but it can help when you start. Aim at the ball, be sure to raise your leg enough, it should be an ''hippy'' motion not a ''leggy'' one. Look at plenty of videos if it can help, look those here, search youtube with 'mirage' and try to find some of pros. That's all I can say to help, if it don't sorry. Don't forget to do it both sides. Try it from same toe.

Well if you have it on your foot and can't stall it, look somewhere else for the problem. Practice consecutive toe stalls and practice 'mirage' style delay but without the dex which means do the same hop, same set, but no dex.

If this is the case you are doing the hop for the dex wrong. If your catch foot is planted at the end you are doing the trick wrong.

Your set/catch foot should only touch the ground for a SPLIT SECOND throughout this entire move. Right after the set you should plant it to get a good hop off of both feet. After that, the set/catch foot NEVER TOUCHES THE GROUND AGAIN. You do the dex with your dex leg and land on the foot of your dex leg. You land from your hop on only one foot! DO NOT LET YOUR SET/CATCH FOOT TOUCH THE GROUND AGAIN. If you've done it right, your catch foot should still be in the air to snag the bag.

That's OK Smile I had the exact same problem when I was learning this trick (planting the set foot) so I'm willing to do whatever it takes to teach people not to Smile

just finished hackin, still cant get it. the only thing i can think of that im doin wrong is maybe im setting it too high, which makes my dex leg go higher, and takes it longer to reach the groud before my setting foot. I dont know Crying or Very sad how high do you guys toss it up?
