| How come I never hear anyone talking about elimination on here. Is it not that popular? In my area that and four square is all we play when we aren't freestyling. Anyway, I was just wondering if a lot of you play elim. |

| elimanation is pretty simple. It's a cirlce hack game. It works best with at least 5 people. Anyway, you set a hit limit (for us its around 6) and after you hit the bag X amount of times then you try to hit the bag at a person in the circle. If you hit them in anywhere but the foot and they can't recover the bag, they are out. It's simple and a good game for beginners. |

Elimination = Kills, in some parts.
I play it whenever I'm circle kicking and not freestyling. |

| I guess the game of elimination or kills continue, and the remaining players stay where they are. Those that are out stay out until one remains. When that happens, another round happens. |

If you're using a crocheted bag, then it's all cool. I think the object to this game is to kick the bag at the person, not throw it at them like a pitch in baseball. However, I wouldn't kick the bag so hard that it becomes a goal-winning kick in soccer. |

| in my area we call it knock-out. your not "throughing" the bag your kicking it and it dosn't hurt. you also can add whatever other rules you want to make it more fun. |

heh, in junior high i guess we played this game it was called "God"
3 hits between at least 1 other person, or 5 to yourself, *catch* then you only get one pivot foot *throw*, if you hit someone they get a letter "G", if they catch it when its thrown at them they get to throw it back at you or at someone else, when you get "G-O-D" you're out!
It was always funny when people who were afraid of getting hit would start backing away after like 2 hits (sometimes even 1). New people were welcome in our circle, but since they were new(or they were annoying) we would always throw at them first, keeping the game nice and small. We were somewhat courteous to one another, distributing the letters evenly as to keep the game going with only us for as long as possible. Before I was very good I would get out first and would wait for someone else to get out and start a second game nearby, I got a lil better. At one time I was the "god" at "God" in our circle. My kicks were pretty decent, and if I wasn't the first to grab and was someone's intended target I would do a somewhat strange dodge.
I would jump and slide backwards away from the person throwing the sack, usually I had to time it right so It would seem that the sack is moving slower than it actually is giving me time to either dodge it or catch it.(plus, if I did it right, dodging the sack became all Matrix-like)
Throwing it at someone obviously involved a bit of strategy as well. Anyone can see a bag coming at them and move out of the way. So ofcourse the trick was to pump fake (hehe) and get the target to make a move first and catch them off balance.
Fav "God" story:
One time I was playing "God" with my friends at a boyscout event, it was some initiation thing for this service organization "OA" (Order of the Arrow) And we were "supposed" to not talk all day. Playing "God" ofcourse involved lots of yelling and such. This one kid joined us (ewww newcomer, lets get him) and it was just hilarious. He was one of those kids that started backing away after like the first kick. (he probably had good reason with us giving him all the letters.) So by the third and when I caught it he was a good distance from me. This kid was also pretty smart dropping on his belly on the grass whenever he was thrown at... I was pretty good by my group's standards at the time my target was this kid. He also knew how I threw, I always did a single fake then I would throw. He stood firm after the first and expected the second as the throw so he started to drop for his belly. I threw low, (like kind of a one-handed baseball bat swinging motion) and caught him in the face as he fell to the ground. Ofcourse I was the first out in the game after that. |

My favourite God story is where Lot goes up into the mountains with his two daughters and they feed him alcohol. Exodus 19 I think. Good read |
