i think i have figured out my problem in why this move is soo hard to me. After I stall it on my toe, i flip it up to about waist height, and then circle it. But when I circle it, my leg has to stick out straight in front of me. I think I'm throwing it way too high, and that its supposed to be a low move. am i right?

Yeah, when I do a atw I set the bag around knee height. If your worried that you can't get your foot around fast enough just keep schooling it, after no time you'll have it.
another thingy i found, its really easy to do atw's when you bring the hack up RIGHT below the caf, because when the bag reaches its peak it slows down and gives you load of time to do it. thats my personal way of FINALLY beeing able to do my first real trick
