I have only been footbagging for a while now, but i would say that this is activity would be of interest to footbaggers everywhere. If you havent heard of what it is, its basically taking a tiny tiny surfboard and sliding across the water that washes onshore on a beach. Its meant for the ocean, where the wash is very large, but you can do it on rivers, lakes, or creeks. the board is like a thin piece of wood that you throw down while running at the water, then proceed to jump on. You may be thinking, wow, sliding on water, that sounds stupid. but it is suprisingly fun and i am addicted. I live in iowa and have to find great spot on the river to skimboard properly, but i have done puddles, lakes and creeks too. I highly recommend trying it out.

I live in Jersey so every summer we rent a house directly on the beach and I bring a bunch of friends over to skim for the whole summer. It may be fun just flatland smimming like you do, but when you learn to skim into waves and ride them back to the shore its 1000 times more fun. But yeah, definetly a great sport. If you start to get serious about it though, try going to your local surf shop and picking up a fiberglass board with a surfing tailpad on it. It's a lot easier to get on the board and it makes your ride a whole lot more enjoyable. Good luck and happy skimming Very Happy .
