Yo everybody,

Sunday rocked. We played the A-Blinked court format with some straight scoring to 21 points.
Shocked

Almost everyone got a chance to play with everyone and we jammed some slayer/Pantera/Rage over the PA. We missed you Dave. After a 10 second discussion Chaos has agreed that we will have it again next year. This one day format bracket with second day jam was a great way to dust of the NPR rust.

Major props to Germany, NPR, and of course Jimbo from Vancouver. Dr. Kern for making the tequila party memorable, Eric Sorenson for representing on Sunday and Saturday night. DA BEARS. Grossman era baby.

Major props to the city of Oaktown for Kicking down the gym, Ott for kickin in some grub.

Party photos to come soon.

SEE YOU ALL AT THE CUP!

Notable Sunday Runs:

Johnny and Eric S.
PT and Jimbo
Duece and Jack

I just wanted to weigh in with my thoughts on War of the Worlds....
What a great time. Had an absolute hoot. Of course, when I show up in Oakland.....it snows. First time since 78? A couple of Germans picked me up from San Fran airport and introduced me to the joys of an American rush hour traffic jam. It was all golden from there. The one day doubles tourney was awesome fun to play with 'nice shot' Ott. The finals with PT and Johnny Leys against Germany was a great match to watch. A game apiece and a killer third game that saw Chaos mounting quite the comeback in the late stages. They fell a little short in the end but scrapped to the finish. I played Switzerland and cheered equally for both, unlike Hung who was waving the German flag from the get go. All in all a great day and even better night with 9 Palomas in my belly(thanks Kern).

Day two of pick-up was even better. I got to play with 6 different people. People I would never get to share a court with under tournament circumstances. I'm sorry that I never got to play with Deuce, Eric Wulff, Jack or Tuan(my legs were done Tuan but thanks for the late offer).

It was really cool to play the a&b court using straight scoring and capping wins at 3 on the a court. It certainly made for a full five hours of playing. The straight scoring to 21 added a sense of urgency to every serve and hit that you don't get with side-outs. I don't think I'd like to see it in a tournament format but it was great for mass pick-up games.

All in all it was an awesome weekend, like none I've ever experienced in footbag. I'd like to thank PT, Hung, Letti(sp?) and the rest of Chaos for all their hospitality. I'd like to thank Eric for being, possibly, a sillier bastard than I. And I'd especially like to thank Potsie, David 'Flo'sellhoff and Phillip for making the journey and inspiring my lily white ass to get off the couch and make the trip.

Let's do it again, eh?

Man photoshop is a great program isn't it P.T? I mean a front page Sports section saying the Bears won the Superbowl! Who'd believe that?? Ohh wait, i think I have some vague recollection of them doing something in the postseason when i was llike 8....... Laughing (sorry eric)

Sounds like the usual awesome Chaos hospitality was in fine form. I look forward to basking in it for the Green Cup gathering. Very Happy

Book me in bubba.
