Hoy. Smile

This is my first post, but i've been into freestyle and circle hacking for awhile now, and recently got into sewing bags. I was looking for something that I hadn't seen around a lot, and thought it would be awesome to make a bag out of one of my favorite things in the world, flannel. I made a standard 4-panel sand-filled out of an old flannel shirt, and it's not bad at all. I guess because it was a shirt that I had already worn out, it has a completely broken -in feel to it, and the fabric is just sticky enough to cling when I need it to, but doesn't slow me down either. Just thought I'd let you all know, and see if anyone else has any experience with flannel. The stuff rocks.

Chris.

I've never made a bag out of flannel. Does it leak any sand?

If you're an experienced stitcher and can get your stitches nice and tight, you shouldn't have too much of a problem with leakage.

I don't have ultrasuede or crushed panne in Estonia so I thought I'll try flannel also (someone told me to try it in modified.ca.) Now I'm definetly trying.
