Yo Jeremy!
I browsed you some information on traveling in Finland.
Getting here from Tallinn: You can fly directly to Turku with ~100 euros if you're student. Otherwise it's gonna cost 250 e!!! The fligth takes about 45 minutes. Other option is to take a ferry to Helsinki (10-40 euros, 1-3 hours) and then train to Turku (30 euros, students 15 euros, maybe 90 minutes)
And getting back to Helsinki, same train. Or by car if anyone from Turku is driving. And if you're planning to visit St Pete, you probably need a visa. Train there would cost maybe around 70 euros, hard to tell in advance. There are so many prices and you get also some group discount if there are 6+ passengers.
If you need any extra info, just send me e-mail or something.
Jeremy, that's nice you will make it this time. I hope nothing bad will happen like last time. It was sad I couldn't meet you in Montreal. Definetly see you in Helsinki and Wroclaw. And if possible, in Berlin too.
Why are you so interested in Eastern Europe? That's kind of rare. But cool! you can see a lot of nice things around, but also very bad ones. Sometimes it's amazing how bad it can get...i've never been to St. Petersburg, but I would love to. All my friends who were there really liked it.

2jeremy: i'm not sure what's happening to footbag in belarus now, but there were some footbaggers (most net players, actually =) ) a couple of years before. so, i can try to find some old contacts...
just send me an e-mail to er-mine at launchpad dot ru, so i won't forget to do it.
and, by the way, i think that visiting st. pete before worlds is a better idea... but i'm not sure before we'll have the dates =) . anyway, bus st. pete>helsinki costs only 10 euros, so you can come twice =) .
and, just to remind you: russia isn't in eu, so you'll have to get russian visas.
