FYI I just saw a wide selection of Brooks shoes, including '01 and '02 Beast, in the Road Runner Sports catalogue. They should be available on the roadrunnersports.com website. I know that the WFA at worldfootbag.com sells the Beast as well, but I don't know if they have the older models.

I just thought that someone out there might have an older model Beast that they want to buy again Smile

The 2000 Beasts were the rave. The '01 and '02 models weren't as great. The new model (2004) is great as well (like the 2000 Beasts). If you are looking for net shoes they come highly recommended!

I've also started using the New Balance 1122 MC. They are expensive (US$123), so keep that in mind, but they have a VERY square shape.

You can view photos (click on the 'multiview') and order them at:

When I first put them on I was a little worried about the lateral support, as they have a heel 'rollbar' and felt a little weird. But once playing with them a few times, I adjusted to them easily. Plus, the 'rollbar' acts as a reminder to stay on your toes Wink
