Ok, I've been practising this move for like 2 days now, and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I think it may be timing, cos I'll set it up, and then try to circle it, but before I can catch it again, it's already on the ground. Any hints?
Also, are you supposed to jump while trying to circle it?
Thanks a whole heap...
(p.s. flying clipper is much easier than this move, for me) |

The dex is all about control. You don't have to circle the bag very fast, you just have to keep your foot close to the bag. That way, you won't have to circle it as far or as fast.
When you begin an Around the World, try circling the bag as soon as it comes off your foot. Also, you only need to set it maybe up to your knee in height.
As for the hop, You could do it with or without, it really doesn't matter I guess. I find that I hop when I perform a Double Around the World. I don't know why, I just do it for some reason |

Double? As in circle the bag twice on one kick? How long have you been playing?
In the meantime, I think I'll practise some more
Thanks. You guys are really helpful |

Yeah, you circle it twice inbetween delays... I can almost do it flipside but... I'll work on it after I school some other tricks first
To answer your question, I've been playing close to 8 months now. It may seem like a big feat when you start out, but once you start progressing double dex tricks really aren't too hard.
All it takes is time, determination, and lots (and I do mean lots) of practice. You'll hit it, no worries |

I haven't really experienced much about that, though my hips do crack a tiny bit when I do certain tricks. Do you stretch at all or warm up or anything?
You might also want to get it checked out just incase it's something serious. |

| When I started playing I had sore hips like that. I just played through it and they went away. I think it's just caused by not using your hips very much - you need to expand the cartalige or something. If it gets really bad go see a doctor (or take lots of pain killers - but this is just what I do, it is probably very bad for your body...) |

| Thanks for the advice guys. I asked my dad ( he's a radiographer) and he said it was more than likely cartalige clicking together. So for the mean time I'm just gonna try and play through it and hope it goes away. Oh and Morphix do you know any stretches or warm ups that may help? Thanks |

| Ok just bringing this back to the topic. I'm still practicing my around the world but have only got it on one occasion. I am either slamming my foot back down so theres no chance to stall it or I cant get fast enough round. Any help would be great, Thanks. |

| also some people tend to dex too soon, they end up doing the set and the dex as one motion and it always ends badly, make sure it's two distinct parts, set then dex. and yea your foot shouldn't touch the ground after the dex before the delay, try to keep it in the air to catch |

| Thanks for the advice guys, do you mean the set as being the initial stall? Oh and I'm still only playing with a crochet bag my sandmaster is coming soon, would this make it any easier to pull off? |

| yea, the set is the first thing you do, it's when you kick up the bag for the first time then you do the trick. also yea it'd be a lot harder to get the ending stall ith a crochet bag, if that's where you're havin the trouble then you'll probably hit it with the sandmaster |

| Hey, I think I've finally figured out my problem. The way i flicked up the bag was with my toe by moving my ankle. This meant that i could not flick it up and get my leg round quickly, it also meant that i had to start way to low meaning that i did not have enough room to stall the bag. Its a bit annoying cos it means i have to work out how to get the bag up using the right technique but i guess it will help me in the future. Thanks for the help guys. |
