Since there is no posts here yet I will start by adding one. This is a cool feature to have an own section for the European scene. Thanks!
Well, last weekend we had our annual Finnish Footbag Championships and the quality of freestyle was unbelievable! I was stoked. Here are the top10 (final) players in order:
10. Aaro Wichmann
9. Jere "smooth criminal" Vainikka
8. Mikko Lepistö
7. Oleg Donner
6. Jere Linnanen
5. Tuukka "tko" Antikainen
4. Toni Pääkkönen
3. Juho Marjo
2. Lasse Salmenhaara
1. Felix "stone cold" Zenger
So watch out for these names!!

ps. in case someone is wondering I am back playing myself as well. I've been able to shred for about a month now and I'm loving it. I also competed and placed 15th. Considering the high level I was more than satisfied with that! |

In my opinion it was the best tournament ever in Finland. The quality of players was better than ever. Also the game site was really nice. We did got this nice auditory with seats for like 500 people (I'm not sure about this, just guessing) and a nice stage. Also we did got a big screen where we did put results after every competitor (much like in worlds) and showed also some footbag videos when we didn't got any show/competition running. There was pretty much people, since it was organized in a quite large sport happening/festival with many other shows running simultaneously. I think footbag was pretty popular if you compare it with the other shows, though I didn't leave the footbag area too much :) The atmosphere was really good overall. Nice, tough tournament. Hope we can see some videos coming soon. |
