|
|
Hi everyone
We're looking at doing a jam next month, it would be pretty laidback.
I'm thinking the weekend of 20-21 November.
I've talked to a few people about doing it and there seems to be a bit of interest.
We may do a circle competition or something. I've been talking to a guy from one of the magazines here in Canberra and we might get something in the magazine which would be pretty good.
Let me know who is interested. |

All good. Not a lot of people have shown interest but it looks like Ryan will come up, and we have a good crew that will turn out here.
So the main events will be on Saturday if anyone wants to come down. |

| I will be coming up, but will need to leave a bit after midday on Sunday. Can't believe I am even thinking of this with an exam still left, but whatever. Footbag is COOL!! |

If possible I'd prefer not to judge but if no one else is willing and you don't want to do what we did back at the Sydney Jam when we just judged ourselves, then I'll do it.
I'll talk to to Mitch to see if he can make it. Ian is working. |

I was thinking of a similar format to the Sydney jam, where each person gave a score.
I'll make a facebook event for it today or tomorrow.
It won't be too serious at all, but we'll have
Sick 3
Routines
Shred 30
Sick 1
Four Square
We will do it like the Sydney jam in 2007- everyone except for the player competing gives a score, then we will give an average of that score.
This will all be on the top of Mt Ainslie, it has a really good view over the city.
Sunday morning we may have a game of net if there is interest.
So in attendance it looks like we will have
Dyalan
Ryan
Copey
Caroline
me
Jonathan
Mitch (?)
I notice there are quite a few people on the .org list for Canberra so I'm going to get in touch with them and see if they would like to come out.
Ryan is correct....Footbag is COOL. |

For anyone wanting to do a routine, we're going to just do a one minute routine, which will hopefully encourage some more people to have a go.
Bring your ipod or whatever musical player, and we can put it on directly from that. |

| hey guys, unfortunately I am going to have to cancel, kind of sucks cause I already bought my plane tickets. I am having some personal issues that I need to deal with and will be unavailable to do anything this weekend. Hopefully I can make it up another time guys, will come up to Canberra and Sydney soon. Also wanted to mention that Dan Ednie is now kicking regularly again and I had a kick with him last week. |

That sucks Ryan, was looking forward to seeing you again. Hope everything is ok.
Maybe you could sell the tickets to one of the other Melbourne crew... |

The Bureau is saying a sunny day with some light winds, which sounds fine to me.
The event will be on Mt Ainslie, which is not too far from the city.
Dyalan the best way to get there from Sydney (first don't drive down the coast...)
come in from the Federal Hwy, down Northbourne, turn left onto Wakefield Ave. This turn is at the ABC building. Turn right a couple of blocks down onto Limestone Ave...follow it around past the War Memorial. The turn off to Mt Ainslie is not far from there. Drive to the top, we will be in action there.
We'll kick things off around 1pm, have the events start around 2pm. |
