When I was in high school footbag was huge. You could always find multiple groups playing all over the campus at any time. Pretty much any public place you'd always find a hack circle. College had an even bigger footbag scene. Sometimes i take the train into the city and go to Washington Square park and there what be group after group of the sickest shredders I've ever seen. Now other than the occasional group of stoners kicking a hack listlessly I don't see anyone hacking. I work at a college campus and I never see anyone hacking. I don't understand how hacking has died out so much. It's not like it was allover the tv in the 90s hence the big hacking scene in most towns. What gives? Is everyone indoors playing video games and texting?
I agree to an extent. I understand where this is coming from. I'm in highschool now and there are about 3 circles going on at lunch, 2 before the start of the day, and one pretty sick one after school (I'm from pennsylvania)
I frequently talk to 3 kids during their college years at the moment, One from Colorado, one from Illinois and one here in Pennslvania. My friend in CL says footbag is all over the place there, Illinois not so much, and PA a hell of a lot more than both.
Id also like to add that I hate generic video-games anymore. My burning hate goes straight to Call Of Duty >_>
But yeah, I see why you created this topic and overall I believe that you're right. I do my best to spread the word about "Footbag", not "hackie sackin'."

I wish were weren't so anal about the whole footbag/hacksack thing. It makes us seem like some real dungeons and dragons type geeks.

lol alright so i must admit here in the midwest I've seen some shredders but i tell ya we are in short supply of any real numbers dedicated to the hack. I seek them out and usually find a few then i let them know whats goin down in my spot. Having a network to spread the word would really be helpful.
I'd also like to add, I'm not sure about you, but I'm pretty happy with the amount of footbaggers around anymore. There aren't a Ton, but if you look enough there are some pretty wicked shredders.
