I just want to thank everyone in the KFA for putting on yet another first class tournament!
NO ONE should miss this epic net event!
This years version contained not 1 but TWO awesome rock & roll shows! The first by "the Milk Pipes" - Canada's latest hillbillie sensation and the second was a performance by Taylor Jaynes <sp> to which all competitors had V.I.P. access.
The net event takes place at beautiful Jericho Park, a 60 second walk from the beach (with all of the things beaches are good for) and unmatched views of British Columbia.
This town has many of Footbag's most prestigious hall of famers (Scott Milne, and Ian Kobayashi for starters and soon to be HoF, Jake Leong!) Leanne and Jim provide unrivaled hospitality to all attendees.
For those of you net players that like to go "bowling" with your net buddies, how does V.I.P. treatment at the "lanes" sound? Just walk right past the lines, up to the bouncer, and let them know you are a net player and watch those red ropes open up!
The weekend also includes that long lost event, Footbag golf with actual water hazards.
The KFA are also sponsored by the Sunset Grill. A quality establishment with the best in Canadian beer and pub food, giving special treatment (like free pitchers of BEER!) to Net players for well over a decade.
The good folks at the KFA have been breaking their backs for 23 years to keep this fantastic and historic event going and it is a shame that Net enthusiasts aren't attending in droves.
I, for one, will never miss this event for as long as the KFA has the stamina to keep it up.
THANK YOU KFA!

Sounds like a "must attend" event. If all of this hype had been publicized prior to the event, I just might have shown up. I hope KFA's event will be well attended next year.

The Van tourney has been publicized for 22 years.
It was the first tournament in which Patti ever played in the Open division.
I don't know how such an awesome location could fall out of vogue with footbag players in general, much less North American footbag players and especially Montreal footbag players.
Each one is more epic than the last so I am certain next years version will be no exception.
