I realize this is no easy task, but I've been playing old fashioned hack like once a week, and I think this will help me put him in second place . Any other suggestions for scoring on SG without cheating are much appreciated. It's all mental, just like freestyle .
Peace. |

I can't think of any specific shot that will help you take him out. But I can think of a few things that will *possibly* limit his opportunities for quick and easy kills. They're not personal strategies but things every player in the court should be aware of.
--Keep the bag out of his possession as much as possible. He can kill just about anybody at any given time. But its hard for anyone to kill another player without the bag.
--He will snake just about every serve that's not coming to him.
--He crosses the line for a split second when he does that toe-set-back-screen-and-land-the-bag-just-past-your-line-thingy. Challenge the shot and try for a contact call. Be prepared for him to change it if he sees you are too close though.
--Guard the footbag with your arms when controlling it and setting up your shots. Keep your kicks low and close to you. He's quick enough to steal it if you get sloppy. Think timed consecutives.
--Help out weaker players defending thier squares to keep him from racking up points quickly.
--Use effective double teaming as much as possible.
He'll probably tell you that none of these things will work but don't let that stop you from trying it Good luck |

The most important thing is to throw away all your morals when trying to beat Steve "The Bit*h" Goldberg
The winner in 4square is not determined by the quality of his footbag skills, but by the number of points he has, keep that in mind.. |

| Get your wife to beat his legs with a baseball bat before the competition. If you get caught, you can still write a book about it and become famous. |

I've beat Steve before, thrice. He claims he wasn't playing his "A" game, this is probably true, but victory nonetheless. You're not going to beat him though. In competition, his "A" game will be unleashed, and he will conquer.

I too have beaten Steve, a few times. I agree with Mudd.....you will not win. He has super powers we don't know about.

| Heehee, unless his name is highly misleading, this is the world's only sport in which my people (the Jews) are represented in anything besides a managerial position. Yasher K'oach. |

Don't worry - Steve's mostly management.
(I kid, I kid)
Side note, I had no idea that Goldberg was typically a Jewish name. Jews are exceedingly rare in Newfoundland, so my Jewometer is poorly calibrated. |

Yep, it comes from the tradition of Jewish moneylenders. That's also where the stereotype of rich or stingy Jews comes from.
