This is footbag.org or Footbag Worldwide, the central resources for players around the world. Click on the "Event" link at the top right and for the Worlds dates and link. There's much, much more too.

Peace.

Hey guys, just started playing footbag a week ago. I got in to it after seeing the K Swiss adverts.

After having a good look through this wonderful site i knew i had to give it ago. After watching a few vids i thought "that would cool to be able to do that" but now i've started i have even more appriciation for the sport.

Ordered a Mr. sandbag which turned up on Monday and have been loving it ever since (yes a whole 3 days!) got toe delays pretty much sorted my kicks need alot of work though.

It was really nice to find a site like this that offers so much good advice, and to have a forum that full of friendly helpful people. Looking forward to getting more involved in baggin'

I just also recently Smile. How I started was I went up to WA state from California to visit my friend for spring break, and while we were there I saw his old hacky sack and we decided to mess around with it a bit like before. After we came back inside I wondered if there were any professional hacky sackers or anything, so I went to youtube Razz. Thusly, it led me to Vasek and Blitz's footbagging videos and I was like "Good god, that's awesome." lol. So now both my friend and I are really intrested in the sport; although he hasn't ordered his shoes/bag yet Razz.

Gather round all you young ones that means you too darryl! the year was 1981, i was in the smoking area ( yeah how sad in 1981 high school still had a smoking area) I saw three greatful dead fans kickin a little ball as i saw it. It was of coarse a real two panel whamo "hacky-sac" a few years before the book and other colors, it was tan and white. I could not lift my leg properly and they did not play with me very long. That pissed me off and i bought one, sent in my footbuck and started cutting class if needed to play. I got pretty good and was better than those guys in a couple of months. In 1983 MTV was new and rick kaufman joined up with them to hold a footbag hacky-sac festival in queens ny. I was introduced to net. Sadly I got involved with drugs and other stuff that I chose over footbag and did not persue the competitive games until 1990 when I went to montreal and entered my first tournament. I have pretty much been hooked and constantly amazed ever since. Jack lentz were are you I want your story. see ya ted f

I started casually kicking about 15 years ago. My son starting playing while at the University of Washington and got me going on it. I had been playing on an Over 40 soccer team and found that footbag helped me with my ball control, especially on hard, bouncy, fields. About 8 months ago I found this web site and started to play every day at work during my lunch break. Having a great time and progressing slowly -- working on around the world's, alternating toe stalls, clippers, and pendulums now. Went to the US Open in Portland a couple of months ago, which was great, and am planning on doing more travelling to events, and maybe competing in the Intermediates, when I retire next year.
Keep on Kickin!!

i started playing in kicking circles like most. After a few months of that i was getting board and tried incorporating my soccer skills into the game and it soon caused a few friends to get better as a result. I only realized how intense the sport can be after meeting with the my local club Hackrifice who were obviously at a mch higher level then I. I have been playing mostly alone and a few friends at my level and i hope to soon return to playing with hackrifice once i get the basics consistent. Thats my story and i hope i just keep adding to it with progression.

The best way to get your basics consistent is to play with those players who are so good that they intimidate you Razz Footbaggers are some of the nicest people in the world. We may have awesome skills ( Cool ), but most of us totally want to spread that and will do whatever it takes to help new players. The first step is to come say hi. You'll learn 10X faster, I guarantee, if you go confront those awesome players you see out in public. You'll probably end up making some great friends too.
