Hey all 32panel stitchers out there. How long does it take you to stitch a 32? I've been stitching them for a couple years now and they are still hella labour intensive. I'd say my estimate is 3 hours... 4 at most. I usually spend 3 days on and off. Doing a bit here and there. I wish I could cut the time down to like an hour so I could do it in one sitting and not be exhausted.. |

Word!
It would be great to be able to stitch a bag in an hour. I too spend 3-4 hours on a 32 panel but if that time is to be reduced, the quality would definitely suffer.
I remember Allan Petersen (Hane Dane Footbags) being able to sit down a make a flawless 92 panel in one 8 hour sewing session.

is it possible to make a good 32 bag using a machine?
I guess I take about 3-4 hours as well - but I do most of my stitching while "watching" tv - so I often get distracted and don't get much done at a time - I guess it takes like 4-6 days per bag - but all the bags I've done so far have been practice bags trying to get my skills right before I try making a facile bag. |
