Contrary to popular belief there are a host of UK footbags players. I just don't think enough of them know about this (and other) web sites and forums.
Down here in Brighton there are about 10 people I know who shred regularly (but mostly only in the Summer. We're a mixed group geographically speaking. Finland, France, Australia Holland and ofcousre UK people.
I'll have to try and get them on here. Would like to meet up with other people too in the south.
Any takers?

There are 26 clubs and 142 members from the U.K. registered on footbag.org. But I don't know if these are still active. You can do a search in the members area and maybe you can find someone around or in your town.
I hope you'll find some shredders soon. |

I use a handsewn bag from Bernhard. I also bought a bag from sylwan from switzerland, which was so nice, but I lost it to lose a really nice bag is a really bad experience, I felt so stupid and bad.
Which bag do you use and what tricks can you hit? It would be nice to see you at a tournament if you can manage this. It's definitly a lot of fun |

Do you have a link to a site for these bags?
I'm not familiar with just the names. Need an image.
I use a 'Knofler' Mr. Sandbag footbag from the States. Really like the weight and bounce yet the superb ease of stall that these babies give.
To be honest I'm not too up on trick names. We probably don't use name terms that are widely recognised generally.
I'd love to do a tournament! Simply for the group shredding and socialising. who knows. Might make it to Finland...

There is no site for these bags. It's a green and black 32 panel bag made with alcantara, which is like facile. I was actually pretty lucky to get one, because he hadn't much time and now he studies in finland until next summer.
A mr.sandbag is a pretty good bag too.
It doesn't matter what tricks you can do and how you call them, the important thing is that you have fun. I was just interested at what level of play you are. |

Sounds good.
I definitely play at a level of 'fun' first and other than that I'm fluid and confident, have a good batch of tricks to pull off and play as much as possible.

Man if you're ever here again email and get in touch or simply go to the sea front and outside Gemini's bar there are always a group of us on any given sunny day.
Sun, beach, beer, ladies and a damn good hack session.

Heh, I won't be back for quite some time.
I was going to school in England this summer at Hearstmonceaux Castle in East Sussex.
I shredded on the beach walkway the day I was there too!
Too bad I missed you. |

Not sure if they're Aus residents vsiting UK or vice versa. Definitely give me a email if you're thinking of coming over here. You could do worse than to stop off in Brighton on the south coast for a while. Any sunny day there'll be some of us on the sea front.

Hi there,
you talked about english Acive players? I spent 3 years in the midlands near Banbury and had a couple of friends who played with me. I don´t know what they are doing at the moment, but apparently some of them went to London and oxford. I am gonna try to contact them to send you their e-mails. Maybe this helps a little. So, you are all from Brighton? When will bet he next tournament, I would like to join it.

No actual tournaments around these parts that I'm aware of. I doubt there'll be any play until next spring eithjer as the weather (especially down here on the coast) is really rainy and windy through the winter months.
If anyone (you or people you know) are in the area do get in touch and see who's about.
Sunny days on the beach are a distant memory already!
Roll on 2005. |

Its good to hear things are getting better across the water but footbag here in Ireland and especially in Northern Ireland appear to be pretty non-exsistant.
Has anyone heard anything about footbag in Ireland? |
